Son of György Gellei, András Gellei — a lifetime award-winning master hairdresser — opened his shop in 1980 in one of the most frequented places in Budapest, which still operates successfully to this day. The idea of the ​​Barber Shop Budapest was conceived in Australia, where Jr. András Gellei and Dávid have lived and operated their hairdressing salon for 10 years since 2004. They were later joined by the third brother, Áron, who trained and gained experience in barber shops in Melbourne. Later, following the old school and hipster line, they have decided with their father to bring home a well-proven barber shop concept to Budapest, Hungary. The first Barber Shop Budapest salon was opened in July 2014, following Australian traditions, Since there has been followed by many stores in the Hungarian capital and across the country.
