SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2021; it has opened its first store in Tata in 1991. The first years of store transformations and purchases of other chains were followed by a series of new store openings, including many so-called “greenfield” investments as well. In 2012, the corporate group has also begun to develop its franchise system in Hungary, and by 2020 207 stores have joined. Central logistics facilities ensure that goods are supplied to the stores in the country. The first such facility has been the building complex of the Bicske warehouse base which has been operating and continuously expanding since 1994. The corporate administrative centre also operates here. The second SPAR logistics facility opened in 2008 in the town of Üllő.

In 2004 - in the vicinity of the Bicske company centre - SPAR’s own meat processing facility, the Regnum Meat Processing Plant and Training Centre was inaugurated, and following an acquisition in 2020 it expanded with an additional facility, the Regnum Meat Processing Plant in Perbál. The SPAR enjoy. convenience plant has been launched in 2018 and it successfully produced convenience products, while due to soaring demand the SPAR online shop is also continuously extending its capacities.
